We have held Poetry Slams in schools all across Brisbane, and now it is time to bring the winners from each school for a grand slam final!

SlammED! helps students discover the power of performance poetry in a hands-on, words-on program which has been specially designed for secondary students, starting with workshops in 10 schools and culminating in an electric live poetry slam where 20 students take their writing and performance skills to the stage.

This is that final! Tickets are free but bookings are essential. 1pm doors open for a 1.15 sharp start time.

‘Not Quite Right for Us’ – a new poetry film featuring dynamic poets from around the world, reading their work from the newly released anthology, 'Not Quite Right for Us': Forty Authors Speak Volumes.

The screening of the 2021 Queensland Poetry Awards will be live-streamed on the Queensland Poetry Facebook page on Friday 20 August 2021 at 6pm AEST.
