WE CONTAIN MULTITUDES: Digital poems in Twine (12 Sept)

WE CONTAIN MULTITUDES: Digital poems in Twine
from A$30.00

Twine is an open-source tool for making interactive, nonlinear stories, games and poems. A digital poem made in Twine resists singular or static ways of being read; it contains multitudes — and has the potential to change the way you draft.

In this workshop, you will learn basic coding for Twine in order to explore the possibilities of choose-your-own-adventure poems.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Create interactive hypertext

  • Use basic code in Twine (Harlowe)

  • Draft an interactive digital poem and host it online

What you need to participate:

  • Zoom and a reliable Internet connection

This workshop is suitable for:

  • all poetry experience levels

  • Twine (and coding) beginners

Ticketing:

  • This workshop will run twice, so please choose the date that suits you.

  • Tickets are priced on a sliding scale, from concession ($30) to full ($40) to feelin’ flush ($50, i.e. subsidise a concession ticket by choosing to pay a li’l extra).

  • One free ticket is reserved for a person experiencing financial hardship — please get in touch.

  • Upon booking, you will receive email confirmation and, closer to the workshop, further instructions and a Zoom link.
