Dorothy May
Dorothy May is an Australian Singer-Songwriter, Comedian, Poet and Coach. Dorothy began her practice of Music and Multi-Disciplinary Expression from a young age. As a young adult, she attended the Victorian College of the Arts for a Bachelor of Musical Theatre. The VCA was a valuable start in advancing numerous performance skills. Since then, she has taken those skills and developed them further through a diverse array of work. Dorothy feels immense joy in the variety of work that she is currently enjoying. A through-line is the desire to express oneself freely and to encourage others to do the same. Dorothy May Music began from a need to share live music and connect with crowds. Dorothy serenades audiences at markets, cafes, bars & private functions. She is currently recording Tracks for her First EP. Singing has been a skill that Dorothy has developed over several years while studying under some of the best Vocalists and Teachers Australia offers. Dorothy has also developed a Comedy Community through The Humour Experiment which has produced comedy workshops & classes over the last two years. The Comedy Course is the latest instalment, providing Stand-Up Comedy training to aspiring Comedians.
