Damen is a Brisbane-based poet. Damen’s prizes include The Moth Poetry Prize, the Newcastle Poetry Prize and the Val Vallis Award. Damen’s poems have been published in journals including Touchstone Literary Review, Poetry Wales and New Millennium. In 2021, Damen’s first collection, Animals With Human Voices, was published by Recent Work Press.
